Baby Back Spare Ribs with Chipotle Barbecue Sauce

No ratings yet
These tender, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs are seasoned with a generous BBQ rub and slow-roasted to perfection for three hours. Finished with a smoky-sweet chipotle barbecue sauce and a quick broil for that irresistible charred finish, they deliver a bold, competition-style flavor right from your oven.

Equipment

  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 baking pan with rack
  • 2 sheets of aluminum foil

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 275℉.
  2. Put the baby back ribs on the cutting board meat side down, peel the membrane off the bone. I always find the thin film to lift and pull at the tip of the rib.

  9. Move the oven rack closer to the top and broil the ribs for 3 minutes. (see notes 2)

Notes

  1. You can use any rubs you like, such poultry rubs, steak rubs, etc.
  2. Don't broil the rib more than 3 minutes as the meat will get dried up.
